This tutorial describes the steps necessary to make these sun catcher earrings.  There is no limit to the color combinations that you can use.

This slide shows the beads that will be used.

Load 12 yellow seed beads onto your needle.

String through a second time and tie.  Cut the tail off.

Insert the needle through the next bead.

For round 2 add 3 orange beads.  Skip a yellow bead from round 1 and insert the needle through the next yellow bead.  Continue this pattern adding a total of 6 groups of 3 orange beads.

This slide shows the project at this stage.

Prepare for round 3 by inserting the needle through two orange beads.

For round 3 add 5 red beads.  String the needle through the next center orange bead.  Continue this pattern five more times for a total of six.

To complete the last stitch of rouund 3 insert the needle through the last center orange and proceed through the next 3 red beads.  Now the needle is ready for round 4.

For round 4,add 7 blue beads and pass the needle through the next center red bead.  Continue this pattern five more times.

This slide shows the last stitch through the final center red bead and continuing through the next 4 blue beads.

From here we will add the fringe.  Add 1 blue, 1 red, 1 orange, 1 yellow, 1 bugle bead, 1 blue, 1 bugle bead, 1 yellow, 1 orange, 1 red and 3 blue.

Slide the beads toward the sun catcher.  You will now string back through the series of beads just entered, skipping the last 3 blue beads.  You will string through the first fringe bead added.

Next you will pass the needle through the next blue bead on the sun catcher and continue stringing the beads for the second fringe.  You will continue until all 7 fringes are complete.

Note:  Fringe #4 spans the red bead and enters the next blue bead after the red bead.

From here you may add the earring finding of your choice.
